Welcome to HellsRising.net. HellsRising is a general gaming community at heart. On HR we post our short films from comedy shorts in Absolute Power Gaming, short action/drama films of KryGen, and a zombie horror of HellsRising. The site also consists of webcomics and Steven rants, podcasts and a forum. HellsRising has expanded since its original idea back in 2005, and today HellsRising serves as not only a place to put our movies, but a place where gamers and movie fans a like can hang around and chat in the forums and listen to music.

History. Get to know it. Seriously...


HellsRising.net actually started out as HellsRising.com. The original concept of the idea, way back around 2005 - Steven Rose and I (Harvey Li) decided to come up with our own zombie movie/story/novel plot titled "HellsRising". We wrote up a few chapters, and stopped. We posted our story on HR.com but back then, our skills really sucked. I mean really. We had no idea how to truly make a website. So we put the idea aside - along it our zombie story.

Over the next few years - Steven and I decided to do our own reality gamer show. Needless to say, it wasn't exactly the most successful thing ever. So we again paused that idea. Later then, I made other films with Alex Cojocaru involving a more serious storyline full of stunts, and fight scenes. It was named Sequence 14. Eventually we started back on the reality gamer show. We called it "HellsRising". But because our original intent for the name was for a zombie horror that we wanted to make in the very distant future. So, the comedy was renamed "Absolute Power Gaming" - named after the place we frequently visit in the show to do some LAN battles.

In doing so, we wanted to revive HellsRising.com. However the domain name was taken by then, and it was then changed to HellsRising.net. Which in my opinon sounds more catchy and rolls off the tongue better. No? Anyway, HellsRising.net was reborn. This time, we included music, movies, and comics.

The next edition was Warhammer Online. Which turned the HR forums in to a gaming community. HellsRising became the guild name of our Warhammer Online guild. Which is still alive and well by the way. After Warhammer, we decided to expand to other games. The next were Left 4 Dead, DoWII and now Nation States. As a result, we made another addition. Epic Failarity in Left 4 Dead. Now a new series of awesome on HR.

We have future plans, and of course to continue to develop and expand our gaming community. Anyway - that is the breif history of HR.
